Swiss Day 7 - Lake Leman

Bonjour Mademoiselle! =)
On Day 7, we woke up and went to find the nearest Halal Restaurant.

Along the way, I spotted lavenders! LOVE!
Thanks to KS and Naquiah for recommending this Salsabeel restaurant

The shopkeeper is friendly.
He said he has a friend in Malaysia, and his name is Mahathir Mohamad.
It's so proud to know people all over the world recognize our ex-PM

We had our Chicken Beriyani there. YUMS!

Then we stopped at Gare Cornavin and took a bus to Quai du Mont Blanc again.
~Aiden inside the tram~
 Gare Cornavin
~Lots of bikes. No wonder it's hard to find overweight people around here.~

Lake Leman or also known as Lake Geneva is a lake in Switzerland and France.
It's HUGE! So our last day trip in Geneva, we went for a cruise around the lake.

~With my partner in crime holding the umbrella for us~
~The boat is coming~

~A couple of graceful swans~

~All aboard! Aye aye captain!~

The scenery around the lake
~Some houses belong to the politicians and celebrities (whatever)~

~The mermaid statue~

~And we almost slept through this~
The cruise is only around 1hour, the rest of the day we went to the old town again to shop
(eh, window shopping!)
Knowing we will be going to UK the next day, I was trying my best to refrain myself from buying anything in Geneva, (except the FM, of course!)
Lastly, we went back to the hotel and rest to prepare to travel the next day.
Will continue with our journey in UK tomorrow.

Victorinox

The one thing you should not leave Swiss without
is their signature Swiss Army knife
I bought mine when we were in Luzern
but do not enough time to buy for DH because of the short timing
So in Geneva, we bought several Swiss Army Knifes

Lots of designs that you can choose.
There is standard tinker classic,
for executive (comes with pen, light and flash drive),
cybertool (comes with tools to fix the computer),
huntsman, fisherman, voyager, traveller (with temperature) etc
Very interesting!
And the price is starting from RM100 to thousands.

I bought this for DH as Father's day gift
I think the name is Cybertool

And several others as souvenirs

They can personalize the Swiss Army Knife and engrave your name there using this machine

And the results are satisfactory!

I can't wait to bring back the knife to Malaysia
and see each of them carrying the Swiss Army Knife with their name there. ;)

Leica X1 and Cars 2

DH bought a new Leica X1 camera and here are his few test shots
AWESOME!

Very sharp, right?

On another note, Cars 2 has a lot of actions
Not so much storyline
So-so saja, but the kids love it
(no wonder, they are boys)

And after that, we went to overnight at the hotel
Tomorrow will be another round of shopping!
Yeah, Dubai Summer Festival has started.
Yehaaa!

Swiss Day 6 - Geneva City

For me, Geneva is VERY NICE
It's like a small and uncrowded version of Paris.
But more beautiful in terms of nature and surrounding
and of course lagi bersih.
But Zurich lagi bersih than Geneva.
The people in Geneva is also friendly and they can speak English.

The city is small and laidback, which I like it very much
Suitable for vacation and kids friendly
We took the bus towards Bel-air and arrived here

We saw the National Bank of Abu Dhabi!
And made me feel like I'm home!

Then I saw Loubie's Shop
Sexcited yo!
Masuk kejap bagi reason nak berteduh sebab time tu tengah panas
Their selections not as much as in Dubai, so keluar dengan tangan kosong

Then we stopped at the Ice-cream parlor

And we had our ice-cream while overlooking the Lake Geneva

The water is also very clear and we can see some fishes inside!

The weather and scenery at that time was SUPERB!
Nak je berbikini (kalau boleh!) HAHA

We went back to the the old town and explore some shops

Boucheron - Lots of Swiss made watches in there
Hubby's inside joke: Bilakah Patik mampu pakai jam Patek NIH!
Harganya memang mahal berdengung dan boleh rumah sebuah!

People is drinking the water directly from here.
of course dia tak tadah muka dia directly kat situ nak minum but they refill the bottle with this water

We were stranded in VICTORINOX for hours but worth IT!
(will write a separate entry for this)
Then we saw a Trolley Bus

As usual, a visit to Chanel and Apple Store is a MUST!

Then we took a bus to Gare Cornavin and found this halal Lebanese restaurant

Portion dia banyak dan kebab dia sedap!

After that we went to the Quai du Mont Blanc.
And we found another trolley bus

We walked around there while enjoying the scenery

And suddenly Izz screamed,
"Mama, look! It's a rainbow!"
Subhanallah cantiknya
And at that time we were speechless!

Reminded me to the song and this part:
"Somewhere over the rainbow
Skies are blue,
And the dreams that you dare to dream
Really do come true"

I will always remember that beautiful evening in my entire life. =)
