I'm back! Sorry for not updating my blog. Since I've been in twitter, blog is like a place to summarize all your twitter activities. =)

Dubai Shopping Festival has ended yesterday. It started from 5th January to 5th February. During the last 2 pregnancies, I really hate shopping but this time it's totally opposite. I guest now the shopaholic in me is becoming worst! hahaha Anyway, I'm also enjoying to browse things for others.

I've been assigned to find the wedding favours for my brother. I went inside Patchi, and they suggested this sugar coated almond and chocolate coated almond. Very nice!

DH called it pebbles!

The prototype haha...suggestions to add chocolate or chocodates while skyping with my brother.

Shopping jackets in H&M for my friend, also some Longchamp to bring it back to Malaysia

Buying Tudung for my friends, they said Arzu is selling almost twice the cost!

2011 Memories, 2012 Resolution

Alhamdulillah 2011 was a truly a blessed year for me. As I embraced the year with my 2 kids growing smarter, I also had most of my dreams come true. Starting with the travel to see the snowy mountains and beautiful landscapes of Switzerland, short shopping trip in London, to our dream house back home. The things I've never seen coming in 2011 were trips to Rome & Florence, owning a 2nd car and also my 3rd pregnancy. I guess Allah has special plans for us making the most of 2011 and preparing us to be committed for our 3rd child in 2012.

For 2012, my main resolution is to be responsible for my children. Allah has granted me with the luxury of being a stay-at-home mom, so I want to make the most of it. InsyaAllah I will take care of my three children by myself. I wanna teach my bigger kids to be independent and learn to take care of each other. I hope I will be strong to face all the challenges and tests in 2012. Amin...

I asked DH, dia cakap unbelievable, especially masa starting tu sebab they were unexpected rollercoaster tu terus laju.

I asked my nephew, nak naik lagi tak? Dia cakap, takpe terima kasih banyak! hahaha

Now it's time for another thrill ride. I was jealous when DH, my niece and nephew is going to experience the rocket-force Gs and launch themselves 62 meters into the sky at Ferrari World. The G-Force is outdoor, in the middle of the building. They told me there's a beautiful sunset when they were hanging up there.

After that, we went to the Ferrari museum

~Oh now Ferrari is my dream car. Aiden said, Mama, "I want 5 of these cars." Ok nnt kita beli for souvenirs k?~

~Well he meant these. Nasib baik! haha~

Lastly, we left the kids playing at the Ferrari playground. DH, nephew & niece tried the Ferrari simulation driving. We went home at 8pm.

I was thinking to bring one red Ferrari home as souvenir,
But to my surprise, I don't have enough money in the bank. =( HAHA
So I just bought this Ferrari T-Shirt for DH.

DH reached 33 yesterday. There's a Thirty-Three song by Smashing Pumpkins, but it's a sad song. Opposite to DH's 33 song, it's a happy ones. We all cheered and sang him a Happy Birthday together. I was busy in the kitchen, and Izz was busy wrapping gifts for Papa and he also wrote him a card. Aiden was busy jadi tukang sibuk. DH was trying to ask Izz, what's inside the wrapper and he innocently told him "It's Jelly Beans, Papa!" Tak boleh simpan rahsia punya budak! hihi. Happy birthday abang, we love you so much!!!

Ferrari World With Kakak & Family

Second time in Ferrari World Abu Dhabi. This time we went with Kakak and her family. The more the merrier, right? It was really fun indeed, especially pergi together with the kids. I wish I could join them to ride the World's Fastest Roller-coaster! But seeing them having fun was just enough for now. =) There are loads of pictures that I would love to share here.

Early morning on Day 4, we went again to Emirates Mall. It's just within walking distance from our hotel. After they have done with a few series of shopping, we checked out and went to Dubai Mall again.

The 3rd day in Dubai, we went to the Ski Dubai. The kids were all excited to enter the Ski Dubai. For almost 6 years staying in Abu Dhabi, we've never been to Ski Dubai. There's an age limitation for the kids, where no kids below 3 years old can enter the SD. Now Aiden dah 3 years +, saya pulak terpregnant, memang takde harapan lagi for them. But since their cousins are here, memang rezeki my kids dapat main snow again, and this time with more excitement at SD.

~We were very excited to see them playing from the outside of the glass window. DH took a video when they slide with the tyres. Will post the video later~

~Budak2 main ski, mak budak dan bapak budak lepak2 makan ice cream. After 4 hours inside SD with temperature -ve4 degrees and dah naik semua rides, the kids keluar and we bought the snow globe with their picca as a souvenir~

~My sis meroyan shopping sampai kedai dah tutup pun still takmo keluar! HAHA~

That night the kids are all exhausted and they went back to the hotel with their dad. My sis, my niece and I went to watch midnight movie, Breaking Yawn. At 2am we walked back to the hotel.

My sister and her family are here since last Friday. She brought me the keropok lekor, karipap segera, murtabak raja segera (thanks Azah for your help!), stock keropok keping...semuanya marvelous! My sister is very dear to me. Our age difference is about 11 years, and this is her second trip to visit us in Abu Dhabi. The last 4 days, we were in Dubai. Here are some of the pictures when we are in Dubai.

When in Rome - Day 8 & 9

This entry is to finish up our Rome 2011 travelogue

On Day 8, we went to the Spanish Steps again.

I love that place...we just sat there and enjoying the surroundings

We were very lucky the weather in Rome was on our side

We went down near the fountain

And lepak kat situ pulak. The kids were enjoying that place

They saw some pigeons playing with the water in the fountain

Lepas tu last minute shopping,
I always have a soft spot for Balenciaga
Saw their new Hamilton collection with Chevre leather.
I couln't stop touching the leather eventhough I am not a fan of mini GHW
Horey! I brought back Balenciaga Velo this time and also a Chanel Camellia zippy wallet.

After that we went on Zabihah.com and found a halal Pizza shop which is actually near to our hotel

Bila nak balik dah baru tahu lerrr ada restaurant halal dekat je sini.

We had our 1st Pizza in Italy! Nom nom nom sedap!

Also bought these chocolates at the nearest market

On Day 9, we checked out from the hotel

We flew to Milan from Rome and transit in Milan for 6 hours

Nope, not yet because at the Milan airport also ada some interesting place to shop! haha

~Oh cantiknyaaaaa...I wish one of them are mine! Haih tamak sungguh!~

We arrived in Abu Dhabi on the next day.

Home sweet home.

Alhamdulillah, everything went smoothly this time, weather best, jalan2 best, semua best!

Day 7, we hop on hop off another round

And same as the previous day, we stopped at the shopping district.

Was trying to find some shoes for my customers and friends

The leather is very yummy and lightweight.

Finally, he brought this home with us. Yay! =)

He also got the Prada iPad cover & iPhone cover. Also an iPhone cover for me.

It was a nice sunny day

Firstly we walked to the Trevi Fountain

Then stopped at the Termini Train Station to find some Halal foods

Found halal kebab, chicken and rice. They were really nice and satisfying.
Then we took the hop on and hop off bus again.

Florence to Rome - Day 5

After packing, DH drove slowly to Rome
I remembered the last time when we went to Italy in 2007,
we received 3 speeding tickets 2 month after the trip because DH drove more than the speed limit
Tak pasal2 rugi disitu kan? So we've learned our lesson.

When we arrived at our hotel in Rome, it was raining

We stayed in the Intercontinental Hotel

The hotel's location is very strategic

It is just a stone throw away to the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain and yang PALING PENTING,

Via Del Condotti (shopping district in Rome) Haha

So, nak pergi shopping just turun tangga Spanish Steps tu then VOILA!

We stayed in the Intercontinental Rome for 4 nights

The room was nice and comfy

And everyday we woke up to this nice view!

We also received complimentary fruit basket and red wine!

Hmmm let's cheers for our upcoming anniversary DH..haha kidding!
Sorry but not thanks!

The rest of the day we went to send the rented car and we took taxi back to the hotel and rest.

Will continue with our journey in Rome tomorrow.

When in Florence - Day 4

Early Monday morning, we waited in front of the Vodaphone shop to buy their 3G

So boring2 tunggu Vodaphone bukak, sempatla posing dekat kedai sebelah Vodaphone

Dah dapat 3G, we went to find snacks at the Penny market

This place was nostalgic for us because the last time we came in 2007, we remembered we also went to the same Penny market to buy some fruits and snacks.

We went to the outlet and I was quite unwell when we arrived there.

So DH tanya, "nak balik rest kat bilik ke?"

"No, I think as soon as I masuk kedai I'll get better!"

Yes that was true...masuk kedai je terus hilang sickness...teruk tak?

And plus it was raining, and it would not stopping me to shop!

The boys stayed in the car while I was shopping.

DH cakap, they ate a lot, and after that because the weather was very nice to sleep, they slept in the car together. Time tu I syukur sangat on how they behave.

On the way back, we stopped at Naturasi, a mini market which is very close to our hotel

Tengok2, it's actually a Vegan market.

So I've bought tempe so boleh makan tempe goreng for that night.

When in Florence - Day 3

Since it was on Sunday, semua kedai tutup termasuk hypermarket, mini market, etc.

Boring.

But nasib baiklah tempat shopping outlet bukak.

It was Eid and we celebrated in Florence. I just reheat the Brahims kurma daging and brown rice as our pagi raya dishes. Telan sajalah, asalkan halal.

We went to the shopping outlet like 3 days in a row. Nak buat apa lagi kan kat Florence. Kesian DH and the boys because there were nothing for them in Florence. Nak visit Florence city, mostly all churches so we just went around the city and bridges. Florence is cute and laidback but I think Rome is better and more exciting.

Luckily there's a Lindt outlet there.

That was the only fun thing for the boys in Florence.

Rome to Florence - Day 2

We checked out and had our own sweet time driving to Florence. Florence is about 3 hours drive from Rome. I love to see the scenery alongside the highway, the experience that is very hard to describe. So I took some pictures. Please excuse my pictures because I am not a good photographer.

The scenery is nothing comparable to Interlaken, Switzerland but somehow it was nice because during Autumn. It has that cold-romantic Sweet November feeling. =)

When in Rome - Day 1

History repeats itself. In 2007, we went to Italy when I was pregnant with 2nd child, and this time when I am pregnant with a 3rd child.

We flew from Abu Dhabi to Milan Malpensa airport with Etihad. Then transit for 1 and a half hours in Milan and took Alitalia plane to Rome Fumicino airport. The plan was going as smooth as silk. From the airport, we rented a car and DH drove the car to our hotel, Crown Plaza St Peter's, which is very near to Vatican City.

The weather was great, we were planning to restfor the whole day at the hotel but DH can't wait to get the iPhone 4s. So, lepas makan nasi goreng kampung Brahims and solat, terus keluar towards the Apple store in Rome. The nearest Apple store in Rome is in the shopping mall which is about 50 minutes drive from Rome itself in RomaEst. Since the chauffeur sanggup drive, kita ikut sajalah. Driving in Rome is very challenging because the roads are quite confusing with one way roads, narrow streets and luckily DH has experience driving on the left hand side.

Sampai saje depan Apple store, DH smiled.

And we were lucky they had stocks for us, if not sia sia saja drive sejam just to get the IP4s.

We also bought some groceries at the hypermarket and also some toys for the kids and went back to our hotel. Along the way, I feast my eyes with the nightlife in Rome.

At the hotel that night, we were having fun talking to SIRI. =)

I'm Back!

Back from Italy this morning and immediately went for a checkup. Alhamdulillah I finally could see the tiny hands and feet. =)

Sorry for the lack of post. I was unwell and actually have 4 big events (some of it life-changing) coming up, so jiwa bercelaru sikit. Will blog later. Anyway, here are some of the pictures masa kat Malaysia haritu. We didn't plan any vacations sebab dapat balik Malaysia haritu pun the confirmation was last minute. We also tied with the plan nak settle rumah baru and also help my brother with his engagement.

Sambil tunggu contractor tint window and pasang grille, sempat jugak pergi dating beberapa kali with DH. Since once a year sahaja we can leave the kids with my lovely SIL, so ada one time ambil peluang tengok movie at the Platinum Movie Suite.

My brother just bought a new condominium in Hampshire Place Jalan Ampang and also a brand new Audi A4 car.

Mabrouk...so we've been given the priviledge to drive his new car and also went to visit his new place.

I really love the new A4 handling! So next time balik KL saya nak volunteer jadi Supir k.

Hampshire Place? Ahhhh very nice and within walking distance to Menara Citibank & KLCC

The kids went swimming there and they had fun!

I love this part where you can sit and relax while playing with the water. Bestnya...

My Asadil Izz is already in Year 1. He is still 5 years old, but according to British curriculum, dah masuk darjah 1.

Back from Malaysia that day, we sent him to enter the British International School. (www.bisad.ae). It's actually the same school he went during FS2. The school has changed their uniform for this new term, instead of white shirt, they change to turquoise shirt.

The school also offers kelas mengaji & fardhu ain as extra curriculum. He is also starting to speak Arabic with me, eg yalla yalla (come on, let's go) everytime nak pergi school. Nnt one day kita ajak Che Na dtg sini lagi jadi tutor BM Izz pulak k? Hihi

Belajar rajin-rajin Izz! Mama is so excited to see your development day by day. Next year is gonna be Aiden's turn. I just can't wait!

Nespresso. What Else?

I have a few requests to blog about the Nespresso machine.

Nespresso is a little bit unique than other espresso machine because you need to use the nespresso capsule instead of using the coffee beans.

Nespresso ni ada banyak jenis capsules.

My favourites are Arpeggio & Roma.

Sometimes, they will come out with limited edition capsules with vanilla and caramel flavours.

Cost capsule kat sini dlm RM2-RM2.50 each.

How easy to use nespresso?

Very2 easy indeed...nak clean pun senang.

But the most important thing, their coffee mmg best.

But I love to drink latte instead of espresso.

So here are the methods:

1. Masukkan capsule

2. Press the latte button

Firstly keluar foam milk

Then the coffee

Lastly tadaaaaa!
(sengaja guna glass so u can see the latte layers)

Nak bersih, just take out compartment yg macam laci & buang used capsules

And here tempat nak refill air

And if you want to make a hot chocolate with this machine, lagi ez pz.

Press the same button, and bila part dia nak grind the coffee, press again so it will stop

Now u only get the nice tall foam milk

Then masukkan 2 tablespoons cadbury drinking chocolate

VOILA! Dah siap boss kecik!

Izz loves it very much!

From the feedbacks that we've received,

we've decided to go for it eventhough DH never been there

What we knew was with the Guthrie Corridor highway, it's within minutes to Bukit Jelutong

And it was actually a very wise decision as I am very satisfied with the outcomes

Alhamdulillah....and the appreciation value of the house now is really high

We went back in convoy to Kuala Terengganu. It was a fun journey. NOPE, actually it was a scary journey (for me) because my brother can BBM and drive - in EXPRESS LANE. I couldn't sleep throughout the whole journey. Alhamdulillah we arrived safely in KT to celebrate Eid at home, and not in the hospital.

Yes, this lovely room is inside the Louis Vuitton Mall of Emirates Dubai. There are 3 Nintendo Wii consoles in the room. I can leave my kids there and they love to stay in the boutique as long as possible. It's quite unusual. Haha!

Have you been trying Google+ ? It's an exciting social media which is more reliable and secure than Facebook. I just been using it for a week and love it so much especially when I can express more about my thought within my circle.

We have discussed about pyramid scheme in Google+ and I thought I should share this one:

However, pyramid schemes are illegal in many countries including Albania, Australia, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Colombia, Denmark, the Dominican Republic, Estonia, France, Germany, Hungary, Iceland, Iran, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Nepal, The Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, the Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Romania, South Africa, Spain, Sri Lanka, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

This is why schemes like this one blossom under the guise of a growing business. Those who have never picked up an MBA book will easily be tricked into joining this "business" with their "investment" pooled together with money from other "investors" flowing straight into a single bank account. And the price of a "product?" The term money laundering comes to mind. Oh and don't forget the term, "get rich quick."

I love Ramadhan in Abu Dhabi eventhough it's the hottest month of the year. The best part is DH office hour is until 2pm and we get to spend a lot of quality time together. Besides that, the shops will be close in the afternoon and will be open after iftar up to 2am-4am. Waktu malam sangat meriah. Another best thing is when you are going to the grocery shop you will see they are usually reciting Al-Quran while waiting for customer.

Talking about al-Quran, i would like to recommend this app. This is the best app that I've ever bought on my iPad. As you know it's not as thick as the conventional printed Al Quran, easy to refer and also to bookmark.

There's also a few different reciters for you to choose from.

And the best part you can choose the translation in BM for better understanding.

Well this Ramadhan, I am using this meal planner to plan what I have to cook for iftar. It's really ez pz. Tak payah pening2 kepala nak fikir menu apa nak masak, everything was planned ok?

Every first of the week, DH will be the first to know what's cookin' for tonite for this week. Let say if he decides to change, I will just add and drop the meal or adjust it to another day. At 5.30pm, I will just execute the plan and cook in the kitchen based on the plan, tak payah nak tanya DH 2-3 kali hari ni dia nak makan apa.

From this meal planner also it will automatically generate the shopping list. So nak beli groceries pun senang sebab dah ada list siap2.

Now I am in middle of designing a new software. I am hoping that we could find the time to finish up the new software in 2 months time. Wish us luck!

Oh Bill, Oh Eric, Oh Alcide...

Did you follow the latest episode of True Blood? I did! And for some reason I felt really bad for Bill...I know he is still in love with Sookie, but he let go of Eric so that he will be together with Sookie. Now I understand the meaning if you love someone you have to let go.

And the song in the last scene is so beautiful. I love this song and yes I first heard it on True Blood. I don’t know how artists are able to write and sing about the kind of things that’s in our hearts and very souls. They can make the most searing of pain beautiful, that’s just so amazing.

Then we went to watch Harry Potter.

This time I tried the Lobster bisque for starter

DH ordered the same menu as last week bcoz he was wondering how to eat the crab?

But #hantuketam like me really donch care
I ordered the crab legs and lobsta!

Luckily they gave me this to speed up the eating process but still DH had to wait for me to finish up the foods for half an hour.
Nasib baik dia jenis yang patient.

Salam Ramadhan for everyone from us in Abu Dhabi.

As for the preparation to celebrate Ramadhan, I went out early morning today to buy some groceries. Lega bila buka fridge ada byk bahan masakan. As for tarawikh, it will be done at home. And menu for sahur esok will be Mee Goreng. DH will be back home early everyday during Ramadhan, and i can't wait to cook and break fast together tomorrow. I will start to teach Izz and Aiden what and why we are fasting and hoping they will understand and try slowly.

InsyaAllah will still continue blogging during Ramadhan. Semoga Ramadhan pada kali ini memberi keberkatan kepada kita semua. InsyaAllah, amin.

The famous Orlando based seafood chain in US is now in Dubai!

Yeahhh it's the Red Lobster! *Jumping Jacks*

When we want to enter the restaurant, we have to wait for about 30 minutes to get our seats

Siap ada Egyptians ni gaduh2 tak puas hati kena tunggu sebab lapar...lol

And please la civic-minded sikit, orang lain pun tunggu dan lapar jugak

Unless kalau sanggup makan on the floor takpelah kan.

Anyway, eventhough we have to wait for 30 minutes, it's all worth it.

The service was superb and waiter was very friendly

It's like eating in TGIF or Chillis, but they served fresh seafoods from the aquarium

Don't expect to order beer here, because in Dubai the restaurants can't serve beer or wine or pork because it's a muslim country. U can find beer, wine and pork only in the restaurant at the hotel. But sometimes you can find the pork at Chinese or Pinoy restaurant but they are not at a big shopping mall like this. All restaurant chain from overseas must follow the UAE requirements and only serve halal foods.

Dulu when we were visiting Pisa, Italy I was wondering mungkin mereka buat bangunan senget sebab salah ukuran. Then amazingly jadi one of the 7 wonders architecture in world. *merepek*

But now, lagi pelik. Why takde kerja buat bangunan lagi senget dari zaman dulu? Banyak sangat duit nak buat bangunan senget kan? Sorry ye saya tengah mode merapu minggu ini. Nak meroyan kat twitter takde orang sebab kat M'sia pukul 3am, so let's meroyan dekat blog.

When we are going out from Abu Dhabi island, we will pass through this newest and latest leaning tower which is now the “World’s furthest leaning man-made tower.” (2010). They call the tower as the Capital Gate in Abu Dhabi

I Am Scared!

I just watched #INSIDUOUS with my other half and it's pretty scary (for me). Saya memang jenis penakut, especially tengok cerita hantu terkejut terkejut ni.

Have you ever heard the story when people take photo and they can see someone else in the photo? Someone who should not be there...which is not a person! Tapi hantu!

The storyline is pretty decent. But the funny part is because we watched it on HD, so the effects look unreal. Sort of like props in a theater. Still, the movie is enjoyable. What I liked about this movie was that it actually tries to scare you, not gross you out. Acting also good. But the musical score is crap! Sakit telinga!

Anyway, I will have trouble sleeping tonight. *breathe in, breathe out*. Nak pergi basuh kaki, berselawat, istighfar banyak2. To those who want to watch Insiduous, be prepare to have a good time. Don't expect too much, just enjoy it.

Swiss Day 10 & 11 - Bicester Village to Abu Dhabi

On the 10th day of our vacation,

We checked out from central London and moved to Crowne Plaza London Heathrow

We rented a Vauxhall Insignia (never heard of it before).

I was lucky to have a pro chauffeur to drive me to Bicester Village

We've been in this hotel last year and so this time we've been upgraded to the club room as well.

The weather on that day was superb!

I remember during my visit to Bicester last year, I was shivering because it was super cold.

The journey to Bicester from Heathrow is around 1 hour drive

I had to queue to enter PRADA!

We were there until 6pm and after that we went back to our hotel in Heathrow to pack.

But before reaching Heathrow, we went to find Halal restaurant

The next day early morning we went to the airport.

During the last call, we bought Laduree.

The price of the Laduree macarons in UK is 50% cheaper than Dubai.

Boleh beli banyak2 and siap beli for the kids so they can eat it sepuas-puasnya!

That's all folks!

Swiss Day 8 & 9 - Geneva to London

Early morning, we checked out from the hotel and fly to London Heathrow terminal 5.

Then we took Heathow Express train to Paddington Station

From Paddington Station, we took a cab to our hotel, Crowne Plaza London Kensington

The hotel is very strategic, it is just opposite the Gloucester tube station

The room is also clean and spacious

And without wasting our time, we went to the Oxford Street to shop shop shop.

The weather in UK for this time around was very lovely!

Firstly we went to the Apple Store, DH bought his Macbook Air over there

And I bought this unique IP cover from CK
Then we went for lunch in TukDin's restaurant in Paddington

We met Lily and her friend over there.

Sungguh nikmat!!!!

We went back to the hotel and the boys surrendered to follow me shopping.

So, I went to Chanel Bromton Street and Harrods with Lily and her friend

On Day 7, we woke up and went to find the nearest Halal Restaurant.

Along the way, I spotted lavenders! LOVE!

Thanks to KS and Naquiah for recommending this Salsabeel restaurant

The shopkeeper is friendly.

He said he has a friend in Malaysia, and his name is Mahathir Mohamad.

It's so proud to know people all over the world recognize our ex-PM

We had our Chicken Beriyani there. YUMS!

Then we stopped at Gare Cornavin and took a bus to Quai du Mont Blanc again.

Lake Leman or also known as Lake Geneva is a lake in Switzerland and France.

It's HUGE! So our last day trip in Geneva, we went for a cruise around the lake.

So in Geneva, we bought several Swiss Army Knifes

Very interesting!

They can personalize the Swiss Army Knife and engrave your name there using this machine

And the results are satisfactory!

I can't wait to bring back the knife to Malaysia

and see each of them carrying the Swiss Army Knife with their name there. ;)
